When we started building the Sasquee website, the goal was clear from the beginning — create something that felt memorable, welcoming, and completely unique to the restaurant’s personality. Sasquee is not just another comfort food spot. It’s a brand built around storytelling, community, adventure, and a little bit of mythical fun. The website needed to reflect all of that while still feeling modern, easy to navigate, and trustworthy for first time visitors.
The visual direction was heavily inspired by the restaurant’s sasquatch theme and outdoor atmosphere. Earthy greens, warm cream tones, rustic textures, and bold typography helped create a look that feels connected to nature, canyon drives, hiking trails, and cozy comfort food experiences. The footprint graphics, playful headlines, and adventurous wording were carefully chosen to support the “legendary” identity of the brand without overwhelming the user experience.
One of the biggest focuses during development was balancing fun branding with clarity. Sasquee has a quirky personality, but the site still needed to make important information easy to find. Online ordering, restaurant hours, featured menu items, and contact details were all organized to help guests quickly access what they need while still enjoying the creative personality of the brand.
The homepage was designed to immediately introduce visitors to the Sasquee experience. Large headlines, bold messaging, and featured comfort food items help establish the restaurant’s identity right away. Sections highlighting the humanitarian mission and the “Moving One Bigfoot at a Time” motto were added to show that Sasquee stands for more than just great food. The goal was to communicate warmth, generosity, and community involvement alongside the playful branding.
The blog and FAQ pages were intentionally designed as expandable spaces that can continue growing with the business. The blog gives Sasquee a place to share updates, new menu creations, community stories, events, and behind the scenes content. The FAQ section helps answer common questions while reinforcing the friendly and approachable personality of the restaurant.
Another important part of the project was making sure the website felt authentic to the location itself. Mantua’s small town atmosphere, nearby canyon roads, lake scenery, and connection to travelers all played a role in shaping the tone of the content. The final result was designed to feel welcoming to locals, visitors, students, families, and outdoor adventurers alike.
As Sasquee continues to grow, the website was built with flexibility in mind. New menu items, blog posts and future ideas can easily be added over time while maintaining a consistent visual identity. The brand itself is designed to evolve naturally, and the website supports that growth by creating a strong foundation for future expansion.
In the end, the Sasquee website became more than a digital menu or ordering platform. It became an extension of the restaurant’s personality — adventurous, community driven, welcoming, and just a little legendary.
